L.A. & The Hammer
L.A. & The Hammer

Dan:
It's been a while Al, I think 2 weeks now.  Glad you decided to forgive me for utterly underwhelming you with our trip to Los Angeles and come watch The Hammer movie this weekend.

Al: Let us be honest Dan, Dan need Al to return to write another article on not so visited site.

Dan: Well, yes, maybe BUT it is decreasingly not so visited - which means.....people are not...wait, are...visiting more everyday.  Yes.

Either way, let's get people caught up on the past couple of weeks - what did you think of our trip to Los Angeles?

Al: To explain Al's disappointment,  Al must set assumptions that all feelings and thoughts are relative.  In Al's mind, Al expected to see and experience the following from Los Angeles:

For sure this.  Notice what looks similar to breathable and actually seeable air.

Instead saw this - notice the lack of seeing....

Was looking for some of this....

Got none of that and much of this....

<homeless told Dan and Al that he was aspiring actor and had an audition that morning playing an aspiring actor homeless person on said movie, The Hammer but the role didn't exist in the movie.  He is currently assigned as a back up in case The Labrea Tar Pits does not show up.....>

oh and this - all will be happy to know that Al is now a full fledged Blood, Red brings out the better side of Al looks and the Bloods were the first gang to beat Al up.  Also, Al fingers are abnormally long and make the hand symbol look like calligraphy.

Due to Al's lack of being able to breathe and the debt Al incurred to newly found brethren for "protection services" - Al needed a break.  Some much needed "Al Time".

Dan: Well I'll have you know that the evening of your initiation to the Bloods, I met up with a college friend and although I was not surrounded by Red covered people - I had some fresh sushi dinner (straight from the Los Angeles River) with a red-headed friend at a above average, in the average range Sushi restaurant in downtown Los Angeles.  Unfortunately, Red Head + combination of tall Eastern European and Short Hispanic lineage looking guy = the Fugly Section of the restaurant.  i.e. seated outside out of main patron view with no one seated within 15 feet.  The closest other patrons were inside the restaurant, behind glass....a one way mirror to be exact.

So maybe my night wasn't that much better than yours...  So how did you like The Hammer??

Nope - I meant the not as racist and newer "The Hammer Movie" with Adam Carolla...

Al: Let Al put it this way - Al listens to Adam Carolla each morning - mainly because Dan alarm goes off each morning to Adam Carolla show, Dan main house radio gets tuned to Adam Carolla shortly after and in Al-Planet, we have started to receive broadcast of Adam Carolla show as of last month.

Al people see great chemistry potential with Dave Damesheck and Fat Tad - they bring a different dimension to the show...

In short, The Hammer is a movie version of all Adam Carolla daily rants and dialogue wrapped around the road to amateur US land boxing glory - of which is not that great since professional boxing is in the toilet within the US land market - thank you Don King and Pay Per View.

Everything is relative and as expected, The Hammer was not made to win an Oscar but to give a good, reality based laugh so compared to the competition - Scary Movie, The Comebacks, Fool's Gold, etc.. The Hammer is exactly what is expected for an independently made movie - good laugh and thorough documentary of the Labrea Tar Pits.

Go watch The Hammer @ a limited release theater near you...

Huge Adam Carolla fan. I went and saw it opening weekend. I didnt think that I'd really laugh through the entire movie but my side ached when i walked out. I really dont understand how movies like Scary Movie make it over this one. You'll love the jump roping scene with the girl! GO WATCH THE MOVIE!

You're funny (would Annie be Dan in this case with the alarm blaring Adam Carolla?! It happens to be the first thing we talk about every morning... : )

Only LA, I know this!! Only LA would not have filled it with kitty litter, Only LA covers the spectrum from Hollywood trash to air...literally, AIR as trash. But I love this place - go Carolla on Dancing with the Stars! His career took a 10 year hit with this stint!
