Dan: Good evening Al - what'd you think of our afternoon at the awesome-tacular Seattle Center?  Home of Key Arena, Experience the Music Center, the Space Needle and the Monorail.

Al: Seattle Center truly is the real life example of a lesson learned by many cities across the universe that tried to be Universe Class.

With such bad planning and investments, next thing Dan is going to tell Al is that Seattle has built a 4 lane bridge to cross large body of water known as Lake Washington - with no mass transit option between two points where Earth human peoples actually go to and from.

Dan: uhhhmm... that's the SR-520 bridge... it's a 2 lane bridge each way, no HOV lane.  It exists.  On the bright side - awesome views from both sides as you're stuck in traffic.

Al: Wow... never ceases to amaze Al.   

Dan: I know...but you know what is amazing but in a good way??  This week, the Merchant of Death - Viktor Bout was arrested in Thailand.  Viktor Tout is one of the world's largest arms dealers who has been suspected to traffic weapons illegally to all sorts of countries and both legal and illegal militant groups.



This guy made a living off of war... with no allegiance.

Al: Clear one thing up for Al - is development of fire arms and military equipment privatized or non-profit government run?

Dan: It depends on the country, for example most socialist and communist countries such as China and Venezuela (technically a democratic nation but many would argue) have these among most infrastructure goods and services privatized but in the US - it is mixed with a large portion being private - even actual armed forces themselves.  i.e. private armies for hire - Blackwater Worldwide in Iraq is the most prominent example but there are hundreds if not thousands more.

Al: sigh... once again, Earth planet governments are operating under a fatal flaw.  What the majority of the known universe has come to understand over the millennia's is that War is constant.  It is part of the balance of existence.  What goes up, must come down; what is born, must die and to have winners, there must be losers. 

Because most intelligent life forms are irrational, Earth human peoples being one of the most irrational of all, war stems from "winners" wanting to "win" more than they need or "losers" not wanting to "lose" anymore. 

Think about it.  Look back at every war in the history of Earth planet - it is that simple.

Dan: That is a lot to think and look up....about... so I will trust you because you are super smart.  So super smart that you were able to figure out how to subscribe me to the Strongbad Email's video podcast. 



Al: second sigh.... assumption is that there is always war "naturally" therefore there is always going to be a need for war related goods and services - BUSINESS!!!!

The problem is that FOR PROFIT businesses are driven to grow and increase revenue and profit for on and on and on and on and on.. you get the point.

This would be ok if war-related businesses understood and constrained themselves to the fact they are at the mercy of the amount of war - less war = less revenue; more war = more profit.

Unfortunately, Earth people humans, not all but all you need is a few.......along with many other intelligent life forms are irrational, retarded and greedy.  Thus why you get corrupt and fundamentally evil companies and individuals that profit from starting and keeping war going - not to maintain the balance of peace and war BUT to make money.  Making these industries FOR PROFIT is like performance enhancing drugs for War - it just makes it worst.

Dan: So we should nationalize war goods and services enterprises so that they are non-profit. 

Hey, I think we're making some steps forward - Dick Cheney, the Vice President of the US was a high level executive of Halliburton and is still a major stockholder. OH AND!!  President George Bush is a major stockholder as well and he's had some of their executives on one of his advisory councils. 



Al: Is Halliburton NON PROFIT??

Dan: No.

Al: To clarify - US government leaders, responsible for the safety, peace and prosperity of the Free Earth World are ex leaders and now major stockholders of companies who's livelihood depends on the continuing of War both US involved and uninvolved?????? 

That is completely the opposite of what Al was talking about and as ass-backward of running a nation, company and minimizing conflicts of interest as UN-believably possible.

Detaining Viktor Bout is meaningless as he is only a pawn where the chess players should be the target.  Do not fret Earth human peoples, this happens across the universe.  But just remember, this is a fine balancing act of war.  Influencing it to start or maintain war FOR one party's benefit will result in an equal and opposite reaction - starting and maintaining war AGAINST that same party.

Fox and DRM - they sued the crap out of people posting their stuff online. I've heard they have people on staff making sure their stuff isn't pirated on mainstream sites - you can still get it but on more obscure p2p networks these days. I wish it was 8 years ago..
